My son have become a very picky eater lately.  And though he’s still within the normal weight range for his age, I can’t help but worry he’s not getting balanced nutrition.  That is why when he failed to eat well during major meals, I always insist he eats a healthy snack in between meals.

A healthy snack that works for my son is cereals, Nestle’s Honey Stars to be more specific. A 20-gram pack of this cereal mixed with a little of fresh milk is just as enough to fill his hungry tummy.  Nico never fails to finish a small bowl every time he is served this snack, making me one happy Mommy.

But that’s not just what I love about Honey Stars and some selected Nestle products. I love it too that many of Nestle’s products already bear the Halal seal.

Halal is a Qur’anic term meaning ‘permitted, allowed or lawful’.  When used in relation to food and other consumer goods, Halal means anything permissible for consumption by Muslims.

Halal food are purposely for Muslims.  But even non-Muslims consumers are becoming more aware of the many benefits patronizing Halal food since these products are proven to to have passed stringent Muslim preparation and/or manufacturing standards.

Just imagine eating your meat products without a scare of the pigskin as extenders or food chemicals like phosphate in canned tuna and lecithin in drinks.  Halal-certified food products are prepared and manufactured without the use of stunning and mechanical knife in livestock and poultry, no cross contamination in food production and processing, and a host of other Muslim food preparation concerns that requires thorough and diligent scrutiny.
