because it pays to know what’s best for my kid
It’s rainy season once more, and for most Moms out there, we are always on guard in protecting our kids from coughs and colds and flu and of course, the dreaded disease dengue. One of the most convenient yet preventive way we Moms usually do is to apply a good amount of insect repellent product to their sensitive skin. But I doubt though if we are one and the same in the product we use for our kids.
Ever since the effects of DEET (N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide), a Neurotoxin that attacks the Central Nervous System apparently causing slurred speech, confusion, seizures coma, rashes and even death, came out in the news and brought much public awareness, I doubt if Johnson and Johnson’s Off Lotion is still doing well in the market.

Well, at least for me and for Moms I know, we no longer buy Off Lotion since we discovered the wonders of organic insect repellents that are proven to guard our kids against dengue-causing mosquitos the NATURAL way.
Am listing here some of the products alternative to Off (some product descriptions copied verbatim from various websites) that we’ve already tried and tested.
There, four of the many natural insect repellent products far as I know. How about you, what insect repellent product do you use for your kids?
Welcome to The Meticulous Mommy! My name is Feng, trying hard to be a Meticulous Mommy. :) This is my second home next to my personal blog----From Dawn Till Dusk. My experiences to trying as many products and services as far as my Little Boy Nico is concerned was the main reason for creating this Blog. As a Mom, I only want the best for my son. And it pays to be meticulous enough to know most aspects, if not all, or the littlest of details of anything I provide my son, before taking the plunge of spending. It helps that the rich experiences I encountered and learned from the organization I've been working for over 10 years, allowed me to be more conscious on what I purchase and vigilant enough to fight for my rights as a consumer. ;) More about me? My Ilog Maria Sting-less post will be up soon, naka-timestamp. Maybe I should have that scheduled sooner para tamang-tama sa dengue season.
